My entire concept for the Eureka Springs chocolate factory revolved around the people and culture of Eureka Springs and, more importantly, its "social cores." The idea was to design around the areas that saw more traffic and create interactive spaces for people. This was done in tandem with a building meant to represent the chocolate process from the ground up. Each floor is increasingly shown through the glass exterior on each side of the building. The first floor contains the cafe, manufacturing, shipping, and receiving; which all represents the basis of chocolate. The second floor contains the factory, which more relates to the second part of the process in how the chocolate comes to be. Then the third floor is the office spaces - the last part in the chocolate life cycle in which connections are made and the chocolate is sent off. This design was meant to engage the, "social cores" of Eureka Springs with the history and interesting story of chocolate.
